【项目背景】

SS-EAC series stainless steel filter air cooler+negative pressure fan comprehensive ventilation and cooling project for a 3D printer manufacturing workshop in Shenzhen

[Project Background]

Shenzhen, located in a subtropical maritime climate zone, has long and high temperature and humidity summers, posing severe challenges to the industrial production environment. As a pioneer city in China's modern intelligent manufacturing industry, Shenzhen has gathered numerous high-precision and cutting-edge enterprises. Among them, 3D printer manufacturing, as a key technology driving the development of Industry 4.0, has extremely strict requirements for the stability and cleanliness of the production environment. Any small fluctuations in temperature and humidity or dust particles in the air can affect the forming accuracy of precision printed components and the yield of final products.

The workshop where this project is located is a standard multi story reinforced concrete structure factory building. The building structure has good airtightness, but the overall area of the workshop is large, with dense personnel and equipment, resulting in serious heat accumulation inside and poor ventilation. An efficient and economical ventilation and cooling plan is urgently needed to improve the working environment and ensure production quality.

Solution Design

After field investigation, the technical team of Ruifeng Environmental Protection Refrigeration comprehensively analyzed the following key factors:

1) Geography and Climate: Shenzhen experiences high temperatures in summer and requires strong cooling capabilities.

2) Industry characteristics: 3D printing has high requirements for air cleanliness and must effectively filter dust.

3) Building structure: The workshop has a large and enclosed area, requiring strong air supply and exhaust systems to form effective airflow organization.

4) Economic considerations: It is necessary to avoid the high energy consumption and investment of traditional industrial air conditioning and seek energy-saving and environmentally friendly solutions.

Based on the above analysis, we have abandoned the traditional air conditioning solution with huge energy consumption and innovatively adopted a comprehensive ventilation and cooling layout that combines high-power stainless steel filtered air fans (SS-EAC series) with negative pressure fans. This combination design is based on the following multiple advantages considerations:

1. One machine dual-use, achieving perfect integration of cleanliness and cooling

This model of equipment integrates two major functions: "air filtration" and "environmental cooling". Outdoor fresh air first passes through a multi-layer filtration system to effectively remove impurities and meet cleanliness requirements; Subsequently, it flows through an efficient wet curtain and uses the physical principle of water evaporation to absorb heat for cooling; Finally, the processed clean cold air is continuously sent into the workshop through a high-power centrifugal fan. Under the hot and dry climate conditions in Shenzhen during summer, the lowest temperature at the air outlet can be reduced to 27-28 ℃, achieving a significant cooling effect.

2. Four level filtration system, accurately meeting cleanliness requirements

In response to the high cleanliness requirements of the 3D printing industry, we have equipped a professional four level filtering system with layers of protection:

1) Protective filter screen: As the first barrier, it effectively intercepts large particles such as sand, rocks, dead branches, and debris, protecting the internal filter screen and core components.

2) Primary filter: Pre filter dust particles with a size of ≥ 5 μ m (such as metal shavings, sawdust, dust, fluff, mosquitoes, etc.) to extend the lifespan of the subsequent filter screen.

3) Medium efficiency filtration layer: performs deep filtration to intercept fine particles with diameters ranging from 1-5 μ m. This configuration is relatively rare among similar products, reflecting our ultimate pursuit of cleanliness.

4) Efficient filtration layer: As the ultimate purification barrier, it can effectively filter submicron particles (≤ 0.3 μ m), including PM2.5, viruses, and bacteria. Its purification standards can reach the level of operating rooms, providing clean assurance for precision manufacturing.

3. Core advantages of the product, creating durability and efficiency

1) Durable and sturdy: The body is made of stainless steel (SS) material, which can be selected as 304 or 316 stainless steel or high zinc galvanized sheet according to needs. It has strong corrosion resistance, adapts to the harsh challenges of industrial environments, and is durable and long-lasting.

2) Efficient cooling: Equipped with a 5090 high-quality wet curtain, it has extremely high water absorption and evaporation efficiency. The four sided air intake design increases the air intake area and cooling efficiency, achieving a significant cooling effect of 4-8 ℃.

3) Intelligent Control: Provides various control systems such as air switches, LCD controllers, and variable frequency controllers to meet the convenient operation and energy-saving needs of different scenarios.

4) Humanized design: The filter layer adopts an insertable design, making it easy and fast to replace the filter element, greatly reducing maintenance costs and time in the later stage.

5) Highly customized: Special air coolers such as explosion-proof and copper iron zinc free models can be customized according to customers' special needs, meeting applications in special scenarios such as chemical engineering and precision electronics.

4. Dual machine collaboration forms a scientific "pull-out" airflow organization

We have also introduced negative pressure fans, which use mechanical force to forcefully expel high-temperature and turbid air from the workshop, creating a negative pressure zone indoors. Under the "pulling force" of negative pressure, clean air that has been filtered and cooled outside is "sucked" into the workshop, forming a directional and stable airflow organization of "one end for air supply and one end for air exhaust". This design not only solves the problem of humidity increase that may occur during the operation of the air cooler, but also efficiently replaces the airflow to take away the heat, moisture, dust, etc. in the workshop, achieving rapid and continuous improvement of the overall environment.

5. Project effectiveness and value:

After the system is activated, the air circulation in the workshop is significantly enhanced, and the temperature and humidity are effectively controlled. The originally stuffy and turbid production environment has become fresh and cool, and the workshop temperature has steadily decreased by 4-8 ℃. The comfort level of employees' work has significantly improved, and production efficiency has also increased accordingly. More importantly, stable temperature and humidity, as well as clean air quality, create ideal conditions for the stable operation and high-precision printing of 3D printing equipment, directly ensuring the stability and consistency of product quality.
