In the central northern part of Guangdong Province, Fogang County in Qingyuan City is becoming an important recipient of industrial transfer around the Pearl River Delta due to its unique geographical advantages. This area has a subtropical monsoon climate, with long and high temperature and humidity summers, posing a severe challenge to ventilation and cooling in industrial production environments. Fogang and its Qingyuan region, relying on the convenience of neighboring manufacturing centers such as Guangzhou and Dongguan, have vigorously developed industries such as metal products and equipment manufacturing, forming a significant cluster effect.

The client of this project, Guangdong Jiduobao Can Making Co., Ltd., is a key link in this industry chain. As a modern enterprise specializing in the production of various beverage cans and food cans, its products have strict requirements for the cleanliness, temperature, and humidity of the production environment. The canning process mainly involves stamping, welding, coating and other processes of aluminum and tinplate. These precision equipment generate a large amount of heat during operation, and are extremely sensitive to dust particles in the air during the production process. Any environmental fluctuations may affect the sealing and coating adhesion of the can body, which is related to food safety. Therefore, an efficient, clean, and stable workshop environment is the lifeline to ensure product quality and production efficiency.

Project Challenge

Jiduobao's canning workshop is a super large single space with a building area of 12000 square meters and a floor height of up to 17 meters. The main body of the factory adopts a heavy-duty I-beam frame structure, ensuring the load-bearing stability of large-span spaces; The wall is constructed with bricks, and the roof is covered with insulated color steel tiles, providing good lighting but strong sealing. This "large flat layer, high ceiling, strong sealing" structure will undoubtedly become a huge "greenhouse" during the long summer in Guangdong. In the workshop, numerous stamping and coating production lines operate at high speeds, and the heat dissipation of equipment and personnel density overlap, making it difficult for internal heat and turbidity to be naturally discharged. This not only seriously affects the comfort and work efficiency of frontline employees, but also poses a potential threat to the stable operation of high-precision production equipment and product yield. Due to the absence of crane operations in the production process, the workshop has excellent air clearance conditions, which provides a unique advantage for using large air ducts for long-distance and organized air supply systems.

Customized Solution

1. Innovative layout, freeing up space: We have ingeniously installed the core cooling equipment - a high air volume and elevated evaporative air cooler - on the outside of the building wall. This design not only completely avoids occupying valuable indoor production area, but also ensures a continuous supply of fresh air conditioning from outside.

2. Accurate air supply, comprehensive coverage: Through a carefully designed long air duct network, the processed cold air is accurately and evenly delivered to every corner of the workshop. The air duct layout, which is tens of meters long, perfectly matches the vast space brought by the 17 meter floor height, effectively solving the industry problem of insufficient air supply distance for large-span factories.

3. Positive pressure ventilation, efficient ventilation: The system utilizes the micro positive pressure environment generated by high air volume to continuously "squeeze" the hot air, dust, and turbidity generated by indoor personnel and equipment out of the room through preset exhaust vents or door and window gaps. The physical principle behind it is simple: continuous injection of cold air creates a pressure difference, like an invisible air piston, pushing polluted air out, thereby achieving a ventilation efficiency of up to dozens of times per minute, keeping the workshop fresh and cool at all times.

4. Cleanliness oriented, material upgrade: In response to the extremely high requirements for product cleanliness in the canning process, we have broken through the norm and abandoned the traditional galvanized iron sheet air ducts that are prone to rust and dust accumulation. We have innovatively selected environmentally friendly composite materials for customized air ducts. This material has a smooth surface, does not produce or accumulate dust, and is corrosion-resistant and rust proof, fundamentally eliminating secondary pollution and providing a solid guarantee for the production environment of food grade tanks.
