Project Background and Challenges
This project is located in the core area of the Bohai Economic Circle, situated in the largest shipbuilding base in northern China. The region belongs to a temperate monsoon climate, with high temperatures and humidity in summer, and the challenges to industrial production are particularly prominent due to the hot weather. This enterprise is not only an important pillar of China's shipbuilding industry, but also a key unit responsible for ensuring national maritime transportation and military equipment manufacturing. Its shipbuilding level is directly related to the promotion of China's maritime power strategy and the consolidation of national defense strength.
In modern ship engineering, ships are divided into three core systems: hull structural system (hull), engine and electrical system (collectively referred to as the "engine department"), and outfitting system (covering rudder, anchor, hatch cover, interior, etc.). This enterprise specializes in the final assembly of ship "heart and nerve" - engine electrical systems. Its production workshop is a typical large-span steel structure shed building with a total area of over 30000 square meters and a height of about 20 meters.
The challenge lies in the semi enclosed environment of such a large area and ultra-high space, which is prone to form a high-temperature and humid "heat island effect" in summer. In addition, the production process of ship engine components also generates heat, leading to the accumulation of hot air in the workshop and harsh working environment. Traditional small fans have low wind power and limited coverage, which cannot effectively disturb the thick and dense hot air layer in high spaces; However, installing precise temperature control air conditioning systems faces huge initial investment and unbearable long-term energy consumption costs. Compared with traditional solutions, this layout not only increases coverage by 40%, but also reduces energy consumption by 35%.
